Lexington Farms is a charming neighborhood nestled along the Monon Trail on what was once the Setter’s Farm, between 106th and 111th Streets in Clay Township, Hamilton County. Davis Homes developed the neighborhood beginning in 1988 and it was completed approximately three years later. Just across 111th Street to the North is the new Carmel Parks’ crowning achievement, Central Park.
As you enter the neighborhood from 106th Street you are travel along the gently curving thoroughfare lined with beautiful blooming pear trees. Greeting you as you round the bend is the clubhouse, once the farmhouse for the land. This beautiful center entry colonial home sits majestically on a slight rise and is surrounded by soaring trees as well as the two pools and pool house. This clubhouse is available to all homeowners to use (for a small fee) for weddings, parties, celebrations and gatherings of any kind.
Other amenities include the two tennis courts, full court basketball pad and children’s playground.
There are 270 homes are in a variety of ranch and two story designs, some with basements. The neighborhood was developed in sections that are designated by charming corner markers. Nine ponds throughout the neighborhood add to the spacious open feeling and give the homeowners amazing access to wildlife and beautiful sunsets.
Residents enjoy their own neighborhood amenities of the pool, tennis court and playground as well as easy access to the Monon Trail and new Central Park for outdoor activity. In good weather and bad you will see residents enjoying the easy walking throughout the neighborhood and taking advantage of the opportunity to meet neighbors along the way.
Although Lexington Farms is in Clay Township with an Indianapolis address, the homeowners enjoy Carmel Schools, the low property tax rate of Hamilton County, and yet are in close proximity to Indianapolis’ shopping and easy access to interstate I-465. Residents also enjoy all that Carmel has to offer with all of the new and existing development including Clay Terrace, City Center, Merchants Square and more.
